Once, there was a kingdom where a pig named Kinky, and her best friend Pinky lived. Everyone in their kingdom has known them very well because both of them join the pageant in their place.
One time, their leader announced that they should go out of their kingdom to search for food. Many animals deserted their place. They looked for another place to live in. This was a big problem for Kinky and Pinky.
“What are we going to do?” asked Pinky. “Of course, we should get out here and look for food,” replied Kinky. “But where? We are not familiar with this kingdom?” complained Pinky. “Oh well, we should start a little bit of journey,” answered Kinky. They agreed with a plan, to start a little bit of journey.
They started their journey. “Where are we now?” asked Pinky. “Pinky, you’re so hot. Just wait and see,” replied Kinky. Pinky didn’t stop complaining and then a trouble happened. Pinky fell on a trap. “Kinky, help me,” shouted Pinky. “But I cannot carry you you’re so heavy,” replied Kinky. Suddenly, someone came. “Arff. Arff. What happened here?” asked the mysterious man. “My friend fell on a trap,” said Kinky. “Let me help you,” the man continued. The mysterious man or shall we call it a dog, helped Kinky to get Pinky back. “By the way, I’m Merlin,” said the dog. As Pinky finished cleaning herself, she saw Merlin, and fell in love at first sight. The same, too with Merlin. “What make you drop by here?” asked Merlin. “Uhm… actually were looking for a place where we could live,” said Pinky. “How about if you go with me in our kingdom? I’ll tell our king about this and I’m sure he will let you stay,” exclaimed Merlin. The two followed Merlin.
“This is our kingdom,” said Merlin. “Wow!” they exclaimed. “Wait! Stay here. I’ll see our king,” he said. “Okay.”
“Your highness,” Merlin greeted. “I’m here to tell you that I’ve met two ladies who are finding for a place to live in. And I was hoping if they could…” continued Merlin. “Stay here?” Leo, their king, questioned. “How sure are you that those ladies, I mean, those strangers are not bad?” continued Leo. “But majesty, I can assure you that they are good,” Merlin said. “Then prove it!” said Leo. Merlin told the two on what he and the king have agreed. “Maybe we’ll just leave,” said Pinky. “No!” said Merlin. “Just believe me,” he continued. Meanwhile, in the king’s hall, the king and his assistant, Tuko, was there. “What do you think about those two?” asked Leo. “Well, your majesty, I’m not convinced that those two are good, maybe they are here to intrude us,” Tuko exclaimed. “If that is the case, call Merlin now, immediately!” said Leo. Tuko hurriedly searched for Merlin. Finally, He saw Merlin. “You’ve been called by our majesty,” said Tuko. “Why?” he asked. “I do not know,” Tuko answered. Merlin rushed to the king’s hall and there, he and the king had a conversation. “Why majesty, is there something wrong, asked Merlin. “I want you to let those ladies get out of this palace,” Leo said. “But why?” Merlin asked. “I have the feeling that these two might intrude our place,” Leo continued. “Please don’t. If they will do what you have said then kill me,” Merlin offered. “Brave enough to protect these to strangers, but it is a deal,” Leo said.
Many days had pass and the two didn’t did what the king accused them but then a big problem happened. The king and his assistant had a meeting in his hall. “What do you think is happening to our food, our stocked foods are decreasing in number?” asked King Leo. “Maybe they are already moving,” said Tuko. “ Who…they? Maybe,” said Leo.
One time, King Leo called all the people in their kingdom for a meeting. “You have already heard the news that our stocked foods are decreasing in number and we don’t know who is the master of all this act,” announced King Leo. “And now, the one who can tell me who is the mastermind of all these act, shall have a wish that I shall grant,” he continued. Everyone participated in the plan of the king.
“Your majesty, I know who is the mastermind of this act,” Merlin said. Everyone around was surprised. “It’s Tu..ko!” he shouted. “The king’s assistant?” asked one of the guards. There were murmurs all around. “How sure are you?” Leo asked. “One night, Pinky and I was walking on the terrace, we heard Tuko talking with some of your servants. Tuko said that when they will help him, they will get a share. Right Pinky,” said Merlin. “Yeah right,” answered Pinky. “Maybe you are just covering the two ladies, or maybe, you are one of them,” inserted Tuko. Everyone around was thinking who is the real mastermind. “Your highness, just now, I was walking in the corridor near their room, I heard them laughing and saying that they could sell the food they have stolen,” Tuko exclaimed. “You are such a great liar,” said Kinky. “Maybe we can check their room,” said Tuko. They went to Pinky’s and Kinky’s room. And there, everyone was shocked to see that some of the sacks, where they put the foods, was there. “See,” said Tuko. “But…it wasn’t there yesterday,” said Kinky. “Now, you’re the liar,” Tuko continued. “Put them in the dungeon,” ordered the king. “But wait,” an unknown voice was heard. And it was one of the maids in the palace. “Just this morning, majesty, I saw Tuko and his allies putting the sacks in the ladies room. And then, I also saw Tuko and his allies in the previous nights, carrying those sacks and putting them into a truck,” she said. “Really?” the king questioned. “I also noticed that these following days, you seemed to be busy and you are always not here,” he continued. “That’s why. Arrest him,” he ordered. But before the guards could arrest Tuko, he got a gun and pointed it to Pinky. Merlin saw this and hurriedly pushed Pinky. “No!” he shouted. “Bang!” Everyone was surprised to hear the sound. “Merlin!” Pinky shouted. “Please, don’t leave me,” she continued. “Please, don’t leave me. Please! Merlin…I love you!” she shouted. Merlin was gasping his breath. “I also love you,” he whispered.
After that incident, Tuko was killed and buried into shallow graves. And from that day, Pinky, together with Kinky, always visit Merlin, Pinky’s love.

Ang Manukan ni Lolo Pepe
Once, in a baranggay named Sitio Mapula, there lived an old man named Mang Pepe. He was very known there because of his great kindness. Together with him lived his five grandchildren, Marsha, the eldest, Cathy, Toni, Juan, and the youngest was Potpot. Lolo Pepe also had a poultry which was very popular in the place.
“ Potpot, come here and we’ll play,” shouted Toni. Hurriedly, Potpot went to his sister to play. “ Toni, can you feed the chickens?” asked Mang Pepe. “ After we play lolo,” answered Toni. “ How about you Cathy and Juan, water the plants.” “ Yes lolo! ”
Toni forgot what she has to do. Mang Pepe saw that the chickens were not yet fed. He also saw that the plants were not properly watered. He did these things again. Mang Pepe was very tired. But he didn’t yet fed the chickens. He got the chicken pellets and started to fed them. “ Marsha, can you lend me some help here? ” “ Yes, lolo!” Marsha went to his lolo. “ Lolo, are you okay? ” asked Marsha. “ I’m….I’m… ” Mang Pepe didn’t even got the chance to tell that he was feeling dizzy. Mang Pepe fainted and fell. “ Lolo…lolo! Hey, help me here, ” shouted Marsha. The five helped to carry their lolo. They waited for their lolo to wake up. They did everything they could. They called a doctor. The doctor said that their lolo has an incurable disease.
One morning, their lolo woke up. Everyone was surprised to see him awake. “ Tomorrow , early morning, wake up early. Go to the poultry. You will notice a chicken which will get out of it’s cage. Follow this chicken and he will lead you to the cure of my sickness. This chicken will hatch an egg. Bring it with you,” Mang Pepe told his grandchildren. After hearing those, they were very eager to find the cure. They woke up early.
“ Potpot, Cathy, Toni, wake up,” whispered Marsha and Juan. Hurriedly, they all went to the poultry and waited for a chicken to go out on its’ cage. “ Look guys, there’s the chicken,” said Juan. They followed this chicken as what their lolo said. But then, as they were following this chicken, they were in another dimension. “ Where are we?” asked Potpot. “ I…I don’t know,” answered Cathy. Suddenly, a mysterious voice was heared. “ How dare these intruders come to my place,” said the voice. “ We’re here to see the cure of our lolo,” answered Marsha. “ Oh well, good for you! Go now before it’s too late. But my dear, please be careful,” warned the mysterious voice. “ Guys, the chicken, it’s there,” shouted Juan. They ran as fast as they could, but they couldn’t find the chicken. It has been a long walk and they reached the point that they should separate ways.
“ Look. What shall we do next?” asked Marsha. “ Look at this. There are two ways,” she continued. “ How about if one group will go the way and the other will go this way,” said Toni. “ Great idea. Potpot and I will go this way and you three will go that way,” said Cathy. They continued with their plan. On the first road, Cathy and Potpot was there. They walked and rested for a while. But then, their surroundings became dark that they couldn’t see each other. “ Ate, what is happening here,” asked Potpot. “ I don’t know,”
replied Cathy. Suddenly, a ghost appeared and chased them. “ Ate, help me,” shouted Potpot. “ Where are you?” shouted Cathy. The two lost their ways and separate . On the other hand, Marsha, Toni, and Juan was there. After a long walk, they noticed a table with foods on it. “ Wow! Look, that is my favorite cake,” said Juan. Hurriedly, Juan went to the table to eat. “ Juan, no!” shouted Marsha. “ It can be a trap,” she continued. But Juan didn’t listen. And Juan was on his last slice of cake. “ Look, nothing happened,” said Juan. Not long before he took the first bite of the last slice, a huge, dark circle appeared and Juan fell on it. “ Juan! Where are you now?” shouted Toni. But no traces were found. They were down to two. They continued to walk. Not long after, something strange happened. Toni saw her crush who offered her to a dance. After saying yes, Toni was already not listening to Marsha, as if she was hypnotized. “ Toni, stop!” shouted Marsha. But it was too late. Toni wasn’t listening to her. Then Toni’s crush started to kiss Toni. After the kiss, Toni suddenly disappeared and went to another dimension. Toni forgot what happened and where is Marsha. Marsha was also there left there.
The five were separated and started to walk. After several hours, the five met again. “ What happened?” asked Potpot. “ I know. Potpot and I are afraid of ghosts. It’ our weakness,’ said Cathy. “ Also the food on the table, Toni’ s crush, they appeared on our journey on the other road,” said Marsha. “ They were all our weaknes,” Toni continued. Suddenly, everything turned to black, darkness grew and they were trapped. But then, Marsha’s necklace shone. “ Look! My necklace is shining,” Marsha exclaimed. “ Yes! The necklace that lolo gave you which is suppose to be mine,” said Popot. “ No! It was two years before when it should be mine,” said Cathy.
Two years ago, Mang Pepe has this necklace which was to be said has a great power. Mang Pepe was choosing who among his five grandchildren should he give this. One time, Mang Pepe gathered his grandchildren. “ I have here my necklace and I’ll give to the one who can handle and take care of this necklace,’ said Mang Pepe. “ Can I have it lolo,” said Potpot. “ Lolo, it should be mine,” exclaimed Cathy. “ And I’ll give this to Marsha,” said Mang Pepe. “ But don’t worry, I promise you’ll will have one someday,” he continued.
Back to the present, Marsha’s necklace was still shining. And then, the darkness started to fold its’ blanket. “ Yipee!” shouted the five. “ And look, there’s the chicken,” said Marsha. They went near the chicken. Then, they noticed that the chicken was hatching an egg, a very huge and colorful egg. Then they remembered what their lolo told them, “ This chicken will hatch an egg. Bring it with you.” Juan carried then the chicken and the five got the egg. Suddenly, they were on the poultry again and saw their lolo feeding the chicken. “ Lolo, we’re here,” shouted the five. “ Oh! My grandchildren are here. I saw you in my dreams and thank you for the things you’ve done,” said Mang Pepe. “ Thanks too, lolo. But are okay now lolo?” “ Of course,” Mang Pepe replied. “ Lolo, we’ve also brought the egg and the chicken,” exclaimed Juan. “ May I have it? Then come here,” said Mang Pepe. Juan gave Mang Pepe the chicken and the egg. They gathered around the table and put the egg on the center. After a while, the egg was hatching and four crystals appeared. These crystals went to Toni, Juan, Cathy, and Potpot. “ Okay. I fulfilled my promise to you four that you will have one like Marsha’s. these crystals contains powers. Yours Toni contains the power of love, the power to love the chickens and other animals. Yours Juan has the power of healing the animals. Yours Cathy contains the power of the prediction. You can predict anything, including what will happen to the animals around you. While yours Potpot has the power to understand what the animals are saying,” explained Mang Pepe. “ Thank you lolo!” said the five. “ We promise to use these powers in the right way,” said Marsha. “ Yes lolo! We will,” continued Cathy.
Many months have passed and Mang Pepe’s poultry was growing and progressing. His grandchildren was also helping him and these five also conduct some outreach program to these domesticated animals.

Perhaps you will be living in a multi-storey building. Modular units will be there. You are going to fly up to the room you want to go with your anti-gravity belt. Your home will have a lot of buttons for you to choose. Each button has its’ use. For example you push a button and the TV comes out. A conveyor will bring your books and even you to any parts of your house. After a while, your phone rings and your boyfriend appear on your TV screen. He is visiting his uncle in Mars and will go to Pluto to get some ice. He will be talking to you from there with a very clear signal. Then you will answer, hoping that you look pretty and great enough to be seen in his screen. You push a button and the stereo brings soft music into the room. Push another button and the lights in your bedroom go off.
You go into the kitchen. Here you just push a few buttons and your electronic stove will cook your meal the way you want it. Your food will come from factories that grow new supplies of food in great vats of chemicals under artificial lights. It is kept fresh for months by atomic sterilization. You won’t need a refrigerator. Another push-button will bring your food to the table; another will pour your coffee. Ultrasonic waves will wash the dishes.
The morning newspaper will roll off facsimile machine right in your living room. You are going to wear paper cloths. They will be desirable and attractive and so cheap that you can throw them away after a few washings.
Studying will be a lot easier. You won’t even have to go to school .if you want to study algebra; you go to a library and borrow a tape on the subject. You turn the tape on, and a memory machine feeds all the information into your head while you are sleeping .you wake up in the morning refreshed. What’s more you will be able to understand algebra

Your space car will run on atomic energy and will take you there in a short time. In fact, atomic and solar energy will replace oil, gas, and petroleum as sources of energy.
Advances in science will produce new and better medicines. Today, scientists are about to find a cure for cancer, common cold, and most other diseases. Tomorrow these diseases won’t even exist. Your great, great grandmother will be living on the moon. She will be strong and healthy and won’t look a year older than 30. But she will be 300 years old by then. She will have a mechanical heart, an artificial leg, and artificial eyes, nose, and mouth. But no one will know the difference. For science will by this time have discovered how to make life longer and how to replace your worn-out body organs with mechanical parts. Are all these things possible or are these just fantastic, impossible dreams? Scientists are slowly but surely discovering and unraveling the mysteries of our universe. For now they have the tools that can extend our senses far beyond their natural power. Man will continue to make better devices with this devices, he will be able to unlock the secrets of the universe.
